TAP Solutions has developed and brought to market a sophisticated, cross asset application server platform for the international financial services industry. As a result TAP is expanding its technology services team and has an immediate opening in its database management team.
Job Description
Located in Vancouver and reporting to the Database Manager, this position will be active across a number of areas including:
Develop stored procedures, functions and triggers in support of application development
Identify and resolve data related problems
Develop and execute unit tests
Perform physical database design in response to requirements
Provide support of internal databases as requested (administration, backups, recovery)
Develop and support useful client documentation
Provide ongoing support to customers, application developers, product management and others in support of the growth of the business
TAP follows a rigorous project management and software development methods of working, requiring all staff to contribute on a timely basis.
Qualifications
Energetic, results oriented individuals with a “can do” attitude are required with the following skill sets:
B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent level of education and directly related work experience
Minimum 2 years database development experience, preferably within the financial services industry
Good working knowledge of Transact-SQL
Good applicable knowledge of relational database design and optimization principles
Top tier system administration skills in MS SQL Server 2000
Experience in building, managing, and administering relational databases
Experience with data modeling, including the use of tools such as ERWin/PowerDesigner.
Strong written communications skills in English
Completion of Canadian Securities Course or equivalent is an asset
Familiarity with .NET, C#, and web services is an asset

Located in Vancouver and reporting to the Vice President, Products this is a senior technology management position. The successful candidate will take direct management responsibility for the database team, a strategic and key function within TAP’s product line.
The Database Architect holds a very strategic and influential position and is expected to contribute in the following areas:
Take on overall responsibility for the design, build, management, and support of the core database platform
Establish and manage to a technology roadmap for the database platform including upgrades to SQL Server 2005 and 64 bit support
Management of two current database management staff
Participate in and contribute to the technology strategy and design in conjunction with the Chief Technology Officer, Software Development Manager, and Product Management team
Support business development activities by contributing expert knowledge and background
Provide hands on management of various demonstration and testing environments with emphasis on demonstrating the power of the database capability within TAP’s product line.
Qualifications
This is a high profile role with interfaces to the entire firm and its customers. It is a key role, requiring a highly energetic, hands on team player capable of operating at the highest level in a fast paced environment.
B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent level of education and directly related work experience
Minimum 5 years database development experience, preferably within the financial services industry
Ideally, experience working in the financial services industry and capital markets in particular
Expert knowledge of transact-SQL and demonstrable expertise with PL/SQL
Expert knowledge of relational database design and optimization principles
Top tier system administration skills
Experience in building, managing, and administering emperies class relational databases and data warehouses
Deep experience with data modeling, including the use of tools such as ERWin/PowerDesigner.
Strong written communications skills in English
Completion of Canadian Securities Course or equivalent is an asset
Familiarity with .NET, C#, and web services is an asset

Ну стольник же они жмотятся? Так ведь? И даже 90 поди зажмотятся. Плюс не любят креативных аут оф зе бокс идей. И еще финансовок положение их поди подозрительное... за креативные идеи меня там никто вроде не ругал тебе же гвоорят будешь с СТО работать оффис возле китайских ворот чайнатауна... с елтауна уже давно съехали. про текущее фин положение ничего не скажу ибо не в курсе...
